2025 NFL playoff bracket for AFC & NFC Divisional round
The 2025 NFL Playoffs are advancing through the Wild Card Round in the first weekend. We provide a rundown of the playoff bracket as the field is set for the Divisional Round.
The 2025 NFL Playoffs kicked off on Saturday with the first of six games in Wild Card weekend. 12 teams began the process of finding the six teams that will join the two No. 1 seeds in the Divisional Round.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions received a bye through the first weekend of the playoffs. They will return to action in the Divisional Round and face the worst remaining seed after the Wild Card Round wraps on Monday night. The Chiefs will know their opponent by Sunday afternoon while the Lions will know by the close of Monday night.
We’ll be updating this bracket until the field of eight is settled. The Divisional Round games will take place next Saturday and Sunday, with one from each conference on each day. It’s safe to say the game involving the Vikings-Rams Monday winner will be the Sunday NFC game.
AFC playoff bracket
The Chiefs claimed the No. 1 seed for the second time in three seasons. They claimed it on Christmas night and have been resting players since Week 18. They won’t know their Divisional Round opponent until Sunday’s Broncos-Bills game wraps. If the Bills beat the Broncos, the Chiefs will face the Texans. If the Broncos beat the Bills, Kansas City and Denver would face off next weekend.
The Texans opened the Wild Card Round with a 32-12 win over the Chargers. The Ravens followed that up with a 28-14 win over the Steelers. Since we won’t know their opponents until Sunday, the bracket remains mostly TBD.

NFC playoff bracket
The Lions earned the No. 1 seed for the first time in franchise history as their 15-win season blew past their previous best of 12 wins. They’ve dealt with a host of injuries this season, but now will hope to get David Montgomery back for the Divisional Round. If there are no upsets in the Wild Card Round, Detroit won’t know their first opponent until Monday’s Wild Card game comes to a close. The NFC’s Wild Card Round schedule does not start until Sunday.
