Louisville signs five-star guard Mikel Brown Jr.
By SAM LANCE
Mikel Brown Jr., the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2025 class, has committed to Pat Kelsey and Louisville.
Brown — the 6-foot-3, 175-pound guard from DME Academy (FL) — singed with Louisville during the early signing period from Nov. 13-20, a source confirmed.
This is Louisville’s first commit in the 2025 cycle and a huge get for Kelsey, who’s coaching his first season for the Cardinals. Brown is the highest rated prospect in Louisville history according to 247Sports’ rankings that started in 2010. Over the summer, the guard averaged averaged 23.5 points, 3.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds for Team Loaded in 11 games on the 3SSB circuit.
Brown is currently at the Louisville game vs. North Carolina, and his signing was announced during a TV timeout. The crowd treated him to an ovation.
