What to watch for

The Cavs are winless in the preseason (0-3). While none of this really matters for the real games, it would be nice to get the ball rolling in the right direction during their final preseason match.

Evan Mobley’s touches

Mobley was the standout from Cleveland’s first preseason game. Kenny Atkinson’s revamped offense featured Mobley in a more prominent role, attacking from above the break and asserting himself more than before. The initial results (against the Bulls) were fantastic but Mobley’s second appearance (in Detroit) left us marginally underwhelmed. We’ll watch to see if Mobley can continue showing confidence as a scorer.

Lonzo Ball

Ball recently returned to an NBA floor for the first time since January 2022. The former 2nd overall pick has dealt with injury struggles throughout his career but was previously an elite perimeter defender and playmaker when healthy. We’ll be excited to see if Ball still has more gas left in the tank for this otherwise uninteresting Chicago Bulls squad.
