Langford — the 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward from St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (CA) and the Oakland Soldiers AAU program — joins three other players in Harvard’s 2025 class. He’ll team up with four-star guard Elzie Harrington, three-star power forward Alex Touomou and three-star point guard Ebuka Okorie.
“I will be taking my talents to Harvard University because it felt at home when I was on my visit,” Langford told ZAGSBLOG. “Coach [Tommy] Amaker and I have a really good relationship and I feel most comfortable with trusting him not only to make me a better student athlete, but person.”
What exactly will Langford bring to the table for Harvard?
“My IQ, scoring ability and defensive ability to make the team better,” Langford said. “Also my work ethic to get adjusted to college quickly.”
Langford’s commitment to Harvard is not just a personal milestone, but a source of national pride for his home country of Belize. As the son of Douglas Langford Sr. — a professional basketball team owner and a former standout player for the Belize U18 national team — Langford Jr. has become a beacon for aspiring athletes from his home country.
