Four-star wing Shon Abaev reacts to Syracuse visit: ‘Their fans are probably the best out there’

Shon Abaev, the 6-foot-7 four-star small forward from Cavalry Christian (FL), visited Syracuse on an official this past weekend.
“I liked how competitive the team was in practice and how hard they went in every drill,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “It showed me what tyoe of program it is. Also the arena they play in is insane, and their fans are probably the best fans out there.”

Abaev previously visited Dayton last weekend and has the following visits upcoming: USC (Sept. 13-14), Auburn (Sept. 20-21), Cincinnati (Oct. 2-3) and Maryland (Oct. 8-9).
The Dayton visit went well, per Abaev.
“They showed a lot of love towards me and they treated me like family while I was there for a couple days,” Abaev said.

“He’s a unique point-forward type of player,” ESPN’s Fran Fraschilla told ZAGSBLOG. “At 6-7 he can certainly score but his greatest attribute offensively is he’s a great transition point guard with terrific vision that makes people better.”
