One game from ‘23-’24 to help you believe in Jonathan Kuminga

It’s time for the JK ascension.

With the Golden State Warriors getting bounced out of the play-in and losing Klay Thompson—aka “Mr. 37 Points in a Quarter”—Dub Nation is in uncharted waters. We’ve gone from “Splash Bros” to... what exactly? Splash Bros Lite? Diet Splash? Whatever it is, it’s definitely different.

All we can do is cross our fingers and hope we aren’t doomed to basketball purgatory. While there is much gratitude for the times that came before, there’s still gotta be another championship left in these guys, right?

For those still daring to dream, I’ve reviewed every non-Curry Warrior’s best game from last season. Because if “Steph drops 40” is our only game plan, it’s gonna be a long ride. We Believe, right? RIGHT?!

Jonathan Kuminga is perfect against the Hawks

25 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in 28 minutes off of the bench is pretty insane. But what if I told you that it came on 11-of-11 shooting from the field?!

That’s right, Kuminga had himself a perfect night from the field in January against the Atlanta Hawks, helping the team secure a big win while going a +18 plus/minus. That tied a franchise record for most makes without a miss from the field.

What made this night even more special is that it was the first game after the Golden Sate Warriors had lost their beloved assistant coach Dejan Milojević to a sudden heart attack the previous week.
