Steve Kerr is speaking at the DNC now. He says as soon as he was invited, he knew he had to speak.
“As a coach and former player, as a husband, a son a father… and as an American I believe in a certain kind of leadership … they must display dignity. They must tell the truth.” – 9:23 PM

More on this storyline

Luol Deng: I normally don’t pay attention to these type of comments, but as an African, a leader in my community, and the president of the South Sudan Basketball Federation, I feel it is important to respond. This is for those who have asked about these comments, those who are offended by them, and everyone who has followed our story. I’m not upset or angry at these ignorant remarks made by my former colleagues; I was more disappointed to see them coming from two individuals I’ve always respected. The comments made by Paul Pierce showed misinformation and a lack of research. However, he used it as a teachable moment to shed positivity once he was informed. Thank you to Paul Pierce for apologising, that i can respect. -via EuroHoops.net / July 24, 2024
“I truly feel for responsible for taking LeBron to that next level,” Pierce told Keyshawn Johnson and Skip Bayless. “Because when he went to Miami, Game 6 in Boston where we had him on the ropes to go back to the Finals, I think that was the game that took LeBron to the next level…we was up 3-2 at home, we could go to the Finals. And that’s what took him to the next level.” -via Awful Announcing / July 13, 2024
