Team USA House hosted a diverse group of stars on Aug. 5 to celebrate the American men’s and women’s basketball teams currently competing at the Paris Olympics. Taking place at Palais Brongniart, celebrities from the world of sports, media and entertainment converged in the midst of the games, posing on a sun-drenched red carpet where their wide-ranging footwear was on display.
From sneakers to sandals to Givenchy boots, take a look at the shoes worn to the fête on Monday, which welcomed guests including Aja Wilson, Brittney Griner, Taraji P. Henson and more notable names.
The “Found” actress and “Shameless” alum paired gold heeled sandals with a white strapless dress.
The soccer star wore black lace-up shoes with a casual outfit including an oversized T-shirt, while her girlfriend and former pro basketball player Sue Bird opted for white sneakers with black pants and a button-down blouse.
Henson wore Shark Lock Givenchy boots with a black ensemble including a lacy blazer. The shoes featured a mesh shaft, a stiletto heel and a padlock ornament.
The “SNL” actress wore dark red patent leather shoes with a pointed toe and an upper that covered most of her foot, pairing them with belted dress shorts and a blue button-down top.
The “Today” show host wore a pair of dark shoes with a suit while his wife Deborah Roberts opted for pointed blue pumps, complementing a denim dress with a feathered hem.
WNBA legend and Olympic athlete A’ja Wilson selected a pair of white square-toe sandals with delicate intersecting straps. Her footwear complemented gray jeans and a shiny silver top.
Griner, another WNBA star and Olympic athlete, kept it casual in black low-top Converse sneakers and a white short sleeve button down with black pants. Her wife Cherelle Griner, meanwhile, wore open-toed shoes with jeans and a green top.
Napheesa Collier, also a member of the U.S. women’s basketball team, paired cropped jeans and a white tank top with white low-top sneakers.
