Nikola Jokic nears triple-double in Serbia's blowout win over Puerto Rico
Reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic was just one assist away from recording only the fourth triple-double in Olympic history. In Serbia’s blowout 107-66 win over Puerto Rico, Jokic delivered 14 points, 15 rebounds, and 9 assists over 23 minutes. Jokic, who did not play in the fourth quarter, made five two-pointers in seven attempts and four free throws out of five.

Many fans wanted to see Nikola Jokic posting a triple-double in Serbia’s win over Puerto Rico. The one who apparently didn’t care at all about that was Jokic himself, according to national team captain Bogdan Bogdanovic. “We heard from some fan who was yelling ‘put Nikola back’ but I think he gets bored by hearing this from outside for stats,” Bogdanovic said. Jokic is back with the Serbian national team after skipping the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
