The Pelicans are just as much in win now mode as the Kings. Why would they help Sac by taking back worse talent (Barnes/Huerter) & future picks?
Unless they know they aren’t going to pay him & this is the best value they can get. Other than that, it doesn’t make sense. – 6:38 PM

One potential contingency plan that’s been bantered around the league if the 76ers fail to land George is Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram via trade. Another team to potentially keep an eye on for Ingram is the Sacramento Kings, HoopsHype has learned. For now, there’s only been exploratory interest from Sacramento in an Ingram pursuit. The Kings have been weighing paths to acquire various wings, sources said, from Kyle Kuzma to Zach LaVine, and Ingram could be another option for Sacramento to explore, sources said.
