What’s the buzz on Twitter?

The Detroit Pistons project with $26.5 million in cap space remaining after signing Tobias Harris.
That projection factors in keeping Simone Fontecchio’s cap hold so they can re-sign him after. Pistons can re-sign him for up to four years, $58 million with Early Bird rights. – 10:21 AM

Damn – can’t believe 76ers paid that much to downgrade from Harris to George.
joke aside – Harris and George sound like a duo that would travel together during the Great Depression taking odd jobs and attempting get-rich-quick schemes.
Somehow, Tobias and George is even better – 10:08 AM

To review the Sixers got
-PG massive upgrade over Tobias
-Drummond legit backup for Embiid
-Gordon on vet minimum to do what Hield was supposed to
-McCain quality shooter in draft
-Oubre back
AND still have picks/levers to pull.

More on this storyline

Tobias Harris is setting up interviews in Southern California now that free agency is underway. The Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz, San Antonio Spurs, and Dallas Mavericks were among the teams expressing interest in the 13-year veteran, according to a source. The Mavs would have to land Harris via a sign-and-trade. -via The Philadelphia Inquirer / June 30, 2024
Stadium: “I’m told the Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons are expected to be the strongest suitors for (Tobias) Harris going into free agency.” @ShamsCharania has an update on a possible Tobias Harris destination -via Twitter / June 25, 2024
One option for George is a sign-and-trade with the Clippers to a destination he desires. Los Angeles, which doesn’t have a first-round pick, would most likely ask for one in a package deal. The Sixers could include the No. 16 pick and consider even adding Tobias Harris via a sign-and-trade as part of a package. L.A. has some level of interest in Harris, a soon-to-be free agent and former Clipper, according to a league source. And if George opts to become a free agent, don’t rule out Philly going after him. -via The Philadelphia Inquirer / June 24, 2024
