YouTube Gold: Isaiah Thomas’s Devastating Crossover

The guy was a surreal talent

Isaiah Thomas, one of the truly great players in NBA History, for various reasons never fully gets his dues.

Just 6-1, Thomas consistently went inside during his career. He’s often been described as the best little man to ever play the game - and there’s good argument as you’ll see in this video.

Watch as Thomas just crosses defenders over into oblivion. It was his bread and butter. It’s not like defenders didn't know it was coming. Of course they did.

But they could do nothing to stop it. It reminds one somewhat of Larry Bird telling defenders - especially rookies - exactly what he was going to do and then doing it, and there was no way they could begin to stop it.

Thomas also had a dazzling spin move that he would use to devastating effect. Keep in mind that he was one of the smallest guys every time he took the court.

Unfortunately, Thomas played in the Bird/Magic/Jordan era and those guys sucked up most of the attention. But make no mistake: he was legitimately, truly great.
