Iona lands JUCO standout Kernan Bundy

Kernan Bundy, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard from Overland Park, Kan., and Hutchinson Community College (KS), committed to Iona on Thursday.
He also considered North Dakota State, Coastal Carolina and Western Michigan.
Bundy averaged 10.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 52% from the field and 38% from deep. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
“I chose Iona because of the coaches and their belief in me as a player,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “Coach [Tobin] Anderson was the first D-1 coach to recruit me and actually attended a couple games in Hutchinson. Everyone I met so far is completely bought into developing me as a player and person. The energy of the college itself radiates a winning attitude and that’s what I’m about.
“In terms of skills I try to be a Swiss Army knife kinda guy. Just being able to adapt in whatever situation. On or off the court, I am always looking to change when necessary and help others along the way. I am excited to get in the gym with the coaches and enhance my skills in further.”
Bundy joins 6-2 point guard Adam Njie (The Bronx), 6-3 point guard Justin Menard (Haddam, CT), 6-9 versatile forward Jacob Hogarth (Hillburn, NY) and 6-3 scoring guard JoJo Wallace (New Milford, CT) in Iona’s 2024 class.
