Brotherhood Playoff Watch - Boston Wins, Dallas Loses
But not a great game anywhere Monday night
Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics won Game 4 last night while Kyrie Irving, Dereck Lively and the Dallas Mavericks fell to Oklahoma City.
Neither game was flawless.
Boston won 109-102 as Tatum scored 33 points on 11-25 (2-8 from the floor), with nine rebounds, five assists and two steals.
But keep in mind that Donovan Mitchell sat this one out with a leg injury. Plus, as we’ve seen before, both this year and years previous, there are questions about big market vs. small market teams when it comes to officiating. Boston shot 21-24 compared to 5-7 for Cleveland.
Meanwhile in Dallas, the Mavs blew a 14 point lead to fall to OKC 100-96. Dallas also was abysmal from the line, hitting just 12-23.
Irving had just nine points but he also had nine assists. For his part, Lively had seven points, six rebounds and four blocks, matching his young OKC counterpart Chet Holmgren’s total.
Dallas had a chance to go up 3-1 like Boston but now the series is 2-2.
On Tuesday, Wendell Moore and the Minnesota Timberwolves will take on the Denver Nuggets with that series tied 2-2.
