Virginia Tech adds Duke transfer Jaden Schutt

Virginia Tech continued to bolster its roster Saturday with the addition of Duke transfer Jaden Schutt.
The news was first reported by On3.com.
The 6-foot-5 sophomore from Yorkville, Ill. redshirted his season. He averaged 2.1 points and 1.1 rebounds per game last season as a freshman.
He initially chose the Blue Devils in 2021 over Florida, Louisville, Michigan State, and more. He was part of a recruiting class that featured five-stars Kyle Filipowski and Dariq Whitehead.
After seeing seven players transfer out, Virginia Tech has now added five in Schutt, point guard Hysier Miller (Temple), shooting guard Rodney Brown (Cal), small forward Ben Burnham (College of Charleston) and power forward Toibu Lawal (VCU).
Mike Young’s squad also adds three-star guard Ben Hammond, three-star small forward Tyler Johnson and four-star center Ryan Jones.
