Portal Works Both Ways As Maliq Brown Chooses Duke

A solid pick up for the Blue Devils

Watching so many players leave has been disheartening for Duke fans but the good news is that there are a lot of minutes available and Duke is going to attract players.

Player #1 is former Syracuse Orange Maliq Brown, who committed to Duke on Saturday afternoon.

Brown averaged 9.5 points and 7.2 rebounds this past season and shot well too, hitting close to 70 percent from the field. He’s also a good defender.

With Cooper Flagg and Khaman Maluach up front with him, Duke’s interior defense is going to be a real pain for opponents.

We’ll see what happens during the rest of portal season but it’s off to a good start.
