Landon Thomas: Dereck Lively II announced the passing of his mother Kathy Drysdale today. She was the sweetest person, every time you saw Dereck off the court she was right there with him. Their bond was beautiful as she was so happy for her son. My prayers go out to him and his family.

In pregame availability, Jason Kidd addressed Kathy Drysdale’s passing and called her “an incredible woman.” He added Lively was at shootaround today to talk w/ his teammates about his mother’s declining health.
