LAWRENCE (KSNT) - It's a homecoming for Zeke Mayo.
The Lawrence native is returning to his home town and will join KU men's basketball, he announced on social media on Tuesday.
Mayo comes to Kansas after three seasons with South Dakota State, averaging more than 18 points per game as both a sophomore and junior with the Jackrabbits. He brings 102 games of college basketball experience to Bill Self's squad.
Mayo is a 6-foot-4 guard and attended Lawrence High School.
The commitment comes directly after Mayo's unofficial visit to KU. He was reportedly scheduled to visit Oklahoma, too, but apparently liked Kansas enough to pick a school earlier than expected.
