Bill Self says Hunter Dickinson dislocated shoulder vs. No. 1 Houston

Kansas coach Bill Self said star center Hunter Dickinson dislocated his shoulder in the Jayhawks’ 76-46 road loss to No. 1 Houston on Saturday.
“It popped back in, which is a good sign,” Self said. “We’ll do an MRI when we get back and see what type of damage there is with that situation. So it wasn’t a good day coming down here at all.”

Dickinson immediately went to the locker room following the play and did not return to the game. The 7-foot-2 big man had 11 points, six rebounds and two assists vs. Houston before the injury. Dickinson is a lock for first-team All-Big 12 and could make a case for being a first-team All-American.
With the loss, Kansas will likely be the No. 6-seed in the Big 12 Tournament and will play Wednesday night, March 13, at 8:30 p.m. CT.
“I don’t know if we’ll make a decision about Wednesday until Wednesday,” Self said. “I don’t know what the MRI will say or anything like that. And Kevin [McCullar] has been day-to-day. I’m tempted, depending on what the status is with Hunter, that may affect a little bit about what we think with Kevin too.”
Kansas has now finished the Big 12 conference slate at 10-8, its most losses in Big 12 play since the conference was formed in 1996.
