BINGHAMTON, NY (NEWS10) -- The University at Albany men's basketball team fell to in-state rival Binghamton Thursday night on the road, 57-69.
Key Stat Lines
- Amar'e Marshall led the Great Danes in scoring with 14 points, going 5-21 from the field and 4-5 from the charity stripe.
- Sebastian Thomas, who returned to the game after leaving minutes into the second half, finished with 13 points while leading the team in assists with nine.

- Binghamton out-rebounded UAlbany, 48-31.

How it Happened:
- Binghamton took a 7-5 advantage into the first break. Marcus Filene got UAlbany on the board to start before Sebastian Thomas buried a three to tie the game at five.
- An 11-4 run propelled the Great Danes ahead 16-11 midway through the first half. UAlbany relied on Thomas' hot hand to start, going 3-4 from deep.
- The Bearcats took the lead back, ahead 24-22 with six minutes remaining. 20 of Binghamton's first 24 points came in the paint.
- Binghamton took a 35-32 lead into the locker room at the half. UAlbany started the game shooting 38.7% (12-31) from the field and 33.3% (6-18) from three. Binghamton shot 51.7% (15-29) from the field and went just 1-6 from three.
- Thomas led all scorers with 11 points at the break, going 3-6 from deep.
- Binghamton out-rebounded UAlbany in the first half, 20-15.
- UAlbany allowed 28 points in the paint in the first half.
- Binghamton used an 8-2 run to start the second half to extend the lead to 43-34. UAlbany started just 1-5 from the field, going 0-3 from deep.
