The Golden State Warriors wrap up the second night of a back-to-back with Sunday’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. The game will be played at 6:00 PM PT in Portland and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State snapped a three-game losing streak last night after defeating the Brooklyn Nets, 124-120. Despite a 41-point outburst from the Nets’ Cam Thomas, the Warriors were able to pull away with the victory thanks to the late game heroics of the Splash Brothers. Steph Curry finished the game with a monster 37-point performance, 16 of which came in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Klay Thompson chipped in with several big threes down the stretch to finish the night with 24 points – his second consecutive game scoring over the 20-point threshold.

What to watch for tonight:
The Warriors will attempt to make it two wins in a row with tonight’s matchup against the Blazers. They currently own a three-game winning streak over Portland and have won seven of their last eight matchups against them dating back to the 2021-22 season. When these two teams met earlier this month, Golden State beat Portland, 110-106.
The Blazers are one of the worst offensive teams in the league, ranking in the bottom five of offensive rating (107.6), turnover percentage (15.4), and true shooting percentage (53.8). Having said that, the Warriors struggled to defend them during their most recent matchup as the Blazers’ Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe combined to score for 54 points. With Golden State’s offense starting to get into a rhythm, it will be interesting to see if they can get their defense going as well.
