Among forwards with at least 15 3-pointers made, Draymond Green ranks fifth in percentage (47.2 3PT%), only trailing Doug McDermott (47.5 3PT%), Kevin Durant (49.4 3PT%), Nicolas Batum (51.3 3PT%) and Jae Crowder (51.6 3PT%). Green’s current 3-point percentage is a career-high and his highest since the 2015-16 season when he shot 38.8 percent from behind the arc.

Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue — an assistant under Kerr for Team USA — coached against Kerr in four Finals (2015-18), including three (2016-18) as the Cavaliers’ head coach. In that span, the two built enough of a rapport that Lue and Kerr started exchanging calls and texts. But during the recent World Cup, Kerr got first-hand perspective on what has made Lue a successful NBA coach: the ability to relate to players, the keen grasp of X’s and O’s.

“Working with him this past summer, I got a really close look at his relationship with players, his tone in film sessions, his ability to demand effort, and his ability to just connect with guys,” Kerr said before Saturday afternoon’s game against the Clippers at Crypto.com Arena. “Just really good communication. So, I think Ty’s a great coach. It’s really fun to work with him. We’re really looking forward to next summer.”

After missing Saturday’s win over the Miami Heat with an upper respiratory infection, Indiana Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton didn’t look like himself in the first half of Monday’s in-season tournament quarterfinal against the Boston Celtics.

“The first half, I was dead,” Haliburton said later.

So, at halftime, Haliburton — at the behest of the athletic training staff — did something he’s never done before: He used an inhaler.

When the second half started, he looked like himself again — and the Pacers looked like a totally different team. Behind Haliburton’s first career triple-double — 26 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists in 40 minutes — Indiana emerged with a 122-112 victory over the heavily favored Celtics to advance to the in-season tournament semifinals in Las Vegas on Thursday.

Moses Moody fined for flopping

Thankfully it’s a relatively mild fine — at least in NBA terms — as Moody will be docked $2,000, which is 0.05% of his salary this season.

That was really the only downside of Moody’s week. He had an electric fourth quarter against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, scoring 11 points without missing a shot. After Steve Kerr admitted to having erred by removing Moody after that burst, the third-year guard started on Thursday and Saturday in place of Andrew Wiggins, who injured his finger with a car door.
