How to watch Warriors at Suns
Golden State basketball is on the way! Come join our game thread and chat about tonight’s matchup here.
The Golden State Warriors interrupt their long homestand with a quick road trip down south to face the Phoenix Suns. The game will be played at 7:00 PM PT in Phoenix and can be watched on ESPN and NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State snapped their six-game losing streak on Monday night after beating the Houston Rockets, 121-116. Stephen Curry led the team in scoring with 32 points, while the Warriors’ other future hall of fame point guard, Chris Paul, finished the game with a 15-point, 12-assist double-double. Head coach Steve Kerr praised Paul for his ability to keep the team organized late in the game.

What to watch for tonight:
Slowing down the Suns’ duo of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker will be Golden State’s primary focus for tonight’s game. This season, the Suns’ dynamic duo is averaging 31.4 points and 28.7 points, respectively, and combined to score 50 during their 108-104 victory over the Warriors on opening night. Making this an even tougher task is the fact that Golden State will remain without two of their best defensive players in Draymond Green (suspended) and Gary Payton II (foot strain).
Gary Payton II remains out tonight in Phoenix with a foot strain. Third straight missed game. Had been listed as questionable. Steve Kerr said a return is near.

The one thing working in the Warriors’ favor, however, is that their offense is starting to come alive — especially when it comes to their three-point shooting. They shot 48.8% from deep against the Rockets on Monday night, and 39.1% against the Oklahoma City Thunder the game prior. Over these past two games, the Warriors converted a total of 39 made threes, giving them an offensive rating of 128.7 in that span. Golden State will need this momentum to carry over to tonight for what is expected to be a high scoring showdown against the Suns.
