St. John’s picks up first 2024 commitment from Lefteris Liotopoulos

Rick Pitino and St. John’s have picked up their first 2024 commitment from Greek standout guard Lefteris Liotopoulos.

Liotopoulos chose St. John’s over Virginia, Stanford, and Princeton, among others.

He will play for the Greek U-18 team this summer.

Pitino previously coached in Greece and still has connections in the region.

One source called Liotopoulos the “best young talent in Greece.”
