Are the Raptors the current Cavs biggest rivals?

Real basketball is finally back! The Cleveland Cavaliers open up their most anticipated season since 2014-15 north of the border.

I’ll start off today’s discussion with a question, are the Toronto Raptors the Cavs biggest rivals? I think the answer is yes.

These two teams are on similar trajectories and are committed to unique styles of play. Ultimately, each team will only go as far as their young star will take them. It’ll be interesting to see over the course of the next handful of seasons how Evan Mobley and Scottie Barnes develop and how each team builds around them.

I have a feeling the Cavs and Raptors rivalry may be back for at least the next few seasons.

We finally have our answer as to what the starting lineup will be.

Caris LeVert is starting tonight and is expected to be the starting small forward going forward. We’ll see how that plays out tonight against the Raptors’ length on the perimeter.
