Duquesne Match I & II

First match is at Dayton on Tuesday at 5 pm. Second match is later in the year, but will also be a mid-week match in Pittsburgh. The new conference format has basically a mid-week match lineup with one opponent - it looks like the closest opponent in a home and home set up. So we get the Dukes. They aren’t very good this year. That’s just a fact. But we will be challenged by the mental weight of the Davidson sweep. So if we don’t come out with our heads focused on cleaning up things on our side of the net, we will make Duquesne’s year if they beat us. They don’t have a lot to lose. Our injuries and the physical challenges this season are what they are. But there is no reason for this team not to be mentally sharp and ready. There is a lot of volleyball left to play and we are preparing for an A10 Tournament Championship and looking for our 17th appearance in the NCAAs starting with this match. We need to show we know that and improve our performance on the court. Use this match to get better. Go Flyers.
