[Women's Soccer] ERAU Records Back-To-Back Shutout Wins
Embry-Riddle, ranked No. 25 in the NAIA Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll, picked up its first two wins of the season last week, the first a 2-0 decision over visiting Rocky Mountain on Monday and then a 3-0 victory over Northwestern Ohio in the Eagles' opening match of the UNOH College Soccer Showcase in Lima, Ohio. ERAU, now 2-1, got its first goal against RMC when Ellie Neal delivered an impressive shot from just inside the midfield that fell above the goalkeeper's head and under the bar. The Eagles' second score came by virtue of an own goal by RMC. On the road in Ohio, ERAU dominated play to pick up the shut out over UNOH, which received votes in the NAIA poll. Jamie Black tallied her first two career collegiate goals in the win, scoring on a wide-open net in the 29th minute, and then picked up a rebound off the Racers' keeper to give ERAU a 2-0 lead in the 74th minute. Aubrie Labno added an insurance goal off a corner kick with nine seconds left in the contest.
