LIVONIA, Mich. - Madonna posted an 18-4 league record to capture the 2022 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Softball Title. It's the ninth regular-season title for the Crusaders who now have the most titles in the league. UM-Dearborn finished in second with a 17-5 WHAC record and UNOH landed in third at 16-6. There is one game still to be finished as Lawrence Tech and Cleary were suspended in the bottom of the third on April 24. That game is set to finish on May 1.
The Crusaders led the league with a .340 batting average and had a team 1.67 ERA. With the championship comes the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament and the league's first automatic berth to the NAIA Softball Opening Round May 16-18 on campus sites.
