The Glen Luss Glasgow Rocks began their postseason journey as they took on the Sheffield Sharks at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow with the return leg being played at Ponds Forge in Sheffield on Sunday. Coming into the game, the Rocks had beaten the Sharks in their last two meetings including an unbelievable Jordan Harris buzzer-beater to win the game with less than a second to play!
It was a slow start for the Rocks as the Sharks went on an early 12-0 run, with Jaycee eventually getting the Rock’s first points.

The Rocks would claw their way back into the game by closing out the quarter only 6 points down, with the score being 16-22.
Moving onto the second quarter the Rocks really needed to find their groove. The Sharks would begin the second quarter the strongest however the Rocks would edge their way in thanks to some great defensive and offensive plays from Jordan Harris, including an explosive dunk after some great dribbling moves!

The Rocks would then really take the game to Sheffield as they took the lead through a Jaycee Hillsman hook shot! Going into the half the Rocks would maintain their lead as they led 41-37, a massive and well needed quarter!
Looking at the halftime stats, the Sharks have been shooting the ball better but have struggled heavily from the free-throw line, only making 50% of their shots. Jaycee Hillsman leads the game in points with 12, with Jordan Harris close behind on 11.
Going into the third, the Sharks began to take control again with them battling back to gain the lead, some refereeing decisions were questioned by Gareth Murray who ended up getting a technical much to the dislike of the Rocks fans. The Sharks would close out the half by adding to their lead.

The 4th quarter was a frustrating one for the Rocks as despite good moments, the Rocks had Vance Johnson and Jaycee Hillsman foul out of the game much to the dislike of the Rocks fans who’s boos filled the arena. The game ended 76-83 with the Sharks taking the advantage to Sheffield. A lot of work to do on Sunday but certainly still in the game.
