[Women's Basketball] UCM Sets Program Records in Win Over UAV
UC Merced dominated Antelope Valley from start to finish in last Monday's 92-51 win, earning the largest program win in California Pacific Conference history. Haylee Owen led the Bobcats, totaling 22 points to go along with a career-high seven steals and topping five players in double digit scoring. Mikayla Mabie notched her first double-double with 13 points and a program single-game record 12 assists. Damilola Sule tallied a career-high 13 points while Madison Hotchkiss and Deyliana Lewis each pitched in 12 points. The Bobcats forced 35 turnovers, 25 of them coming with a steal, which led to 39 points. On Saturday, UCM improved to 3-0 in conference and 9-7 overall with a 74-41 win at Simpson behind a 19-point performance by Lewis, giving the Bobcats a total of 166 points while surrendering just 92 in their two games, a 74-point differential.
