MIDWAY, Ky. — All five IU Southeast starters scored in double figures but it wasn’t enough in Thursday’s 71-68 loss at Midway (Ky.).

The Grenadiers led most of the first half, and by as many as six points, but couldn’t hang on and fell to 6-14 overall and 4-5 in the River States Conference.

Senior guard Jared Osborne led the IU Southeast attack with 19 points, while freshman wing Gabriel Casillas Cruz (Puerto Rico) and junior guard Glenn Hill Jr. (Louisville/Southern) both had double-doubles. Casillas Cruz finished with 15 points and 13 boards, while Hill had 13 and 11.

Sophomore guard and recent roster addition Ahmad Price (Louisville/Fern Creek) contributed 11 and junior guard Anthony Wales Jr. (Louisville/Fern Creek) added 10 in the loss.

Midway got 17 points apiece from senior forward Raekwon Evans (Louisville/Valley) and sophomore guard Donnie Miller (Newport, Ky.) as the Eagles improve to 10-5 overall and 4-4 in the RSC.

The Grenadiers host Miami-Hamilton (2-12) at 3 p.m. Saturday in a non-conference contest.
