Match Report: Glasgow Rocks back to winning ways after victory over the Bristol Flyers

The Glen Luss Glasgow Rocks look to put their last gasp defeat to the Manchester Giants behind them as they welcome the Bristol Flyers to the Emirates Arena.
The first quarter was full of points as the Rocks lead 27-23. An end-to-end game but the Rocks getting the better with Jordan Harris grabbing 11 of those first-quarter points. Harris also being the player to watch so far with 6 rebounds too!

The game is firing on all cylinders in the 2nd quarter with both teams finding their scoring rhythm, Jaycee scoring from beyond the arc to open up a 3-point gap before a Rocks turnover gifts the Flyers an open layup. A huge block from Boban Jacdonmi cancels the Bristol attack and smooth exchange of passing from Jonny to Jordan Harris to Fraser Malcolm for a 2-handed finish at the rim! With a minute and a half left before halftime Jordan Harris continues his fantastic start to the game and has not missed a single shot with 13 points to his name! As the second half comes to a close the Rocks lead by 46 points to Bristol’s 44. A very close game as it stands with plenty to fight for in the second half!

The Glasgow Rocks make an early push in the 3rd quarter, with Jordan Harris making a great play with an intercepted pass to steal the ball and finish at the rim while taking contact for the additional free-throw. The Rocks continue their great start to the quarter and the gap opens up to 13 points with Bristol struggling to make many baskets. Jordan Johnson also collects his tenth assist of the game securing a double-double! At the end of the third quarter, the Rocks are 15 points ahead with the scores being 73-58. The Rocks out scoring Bristol by 27-14 in the quarter.

The last quarter has been very slow from the Rocks only scoring 4 points with 4 minutes left in the quarter as the Flyers close the gap to just 7 points! It’s a very tight game.

As the final seconds are played out and the game comes to a close the Rocks take their victory scoring 87 points to Bristol’s 84. A well-fought battle for the Rocks however a late fightback from the Flyers certainly worried some home fans!
The Rocks look forward to their final game of the year at home to the Sheffield Sharks on the 29th of December.
