Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison buys massive basketball card collection for $25K after he’s shocked by original asking price

PAWN Stars’ Rick Harrison was able to convince a seller to offload his giant basketball card collection for way less than the original asking price.

The seller walked into the shop looking to sell over 500 signed basketball cards featuring various hall of famers, including Boston Celtics great Bill Russell.

However, the seller was originally asking for a whopping $120K[/caption]

It all kicked off when the seller advised Rick that he had a collection of 1995 Action Packed basketball cards – 507 of them.

The seller revealed he obtained the cards from a storage unit in Las Vegas – and he also informed Rick he was looking for an eye-opening $120K for the collection.

“Action Packed actually went out of business in 1995… no one even knows these exist,” the seller told Rick, attempting to justify his asking price.

“Sounds like a lot,” Rick responded, before reaching out to his sports memorabilia expert, Dan.

After the expert inspected the cards, he told Rick that it would take “years” to “get your money,” because “you have to control the market.”

That’s enough for Rick to only offer the seller $25K, to which he responded, “that’s pretty low.”

Rick hit back: “No it’s not. It’s hundreds of hours… not only what I pay you, it’s everything else involved with it.”

The seller eventually agrees to give up his cards for $25K, after Rick doesn’t budge at all.

“I’m in the basketball business now,” Rick tells the camera after obtaining the giant collection.

However, Rick’s son Corey isn’t exactly impressed by his dad’s purchase later on, as he asks him, “have you lost your mind?”

All this comes after Pawn Stars‘ Chumlee – real name Austin Lee Russell – slammed a seller who attempted to unload Kurt Cobain’s signed car insurance documents for $50,000.

A man named Tyler went to the famous pawn shop in the hopes of scoring a big payday from the rare personal items from the Nirvana rocker.

Tyler explained: “I’m looking for $50,000 because it’s extremely rare to find Kurt Cobain’s full signature.

“And because it’s not just a random item. It’s something very personal to him. I got it from a big collector up in Seattle that’s a die-hard Kurt Cobain fan.”

After an expert confirmed the papers were authentic, Chumlee told the seller: “For me to be in on something like this, I’d have to go down to 10 grand because for this to even get 20 grand, it would have to be at an auction or a personal collector or something.”

Attempting to get more money, Tyler fired back with: “How about 18,000?”

The TV personality shot down the offer: “Yeah I think it’s cool but I’m going to have to pass on it.

“I’m sure you’ll get what you’re looking for somewhere else though, good luck.”

Chumlee, 38, recently shocked fans as the TV star has showed off his major weight loss during the show’s new season.
