The Dubs will have two lottery picks in the upcoming draft.

The Golden State Warriors trade for Andrew Wiggins is finally complete, as the Warriors have landed the Minnesota Timberwolves lottery pick in the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft on July 29.

Golden State will have the No. 7 pick to pair with their own lottery pick.

Minnesota’s pick was top-three protected. Had it landed on one of the top three picks, the Wolves would have kept it, and the Warriors would have instead received an unprotected pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Instead, the Warriors will get a pair of lottery picks this year to pair with 2020 No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman, as well as the Warriors star trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

With the Wolves finishing with the NBA’s sixth-worst record in the 2020-21 season, the Warriors had a 72.4% chance of landing Minnesota’s pick this year. The most likely landing slot was the No. 7 pick, which had a 29.7% chance of being where the ping pong ball bounced.

SB Nation’s Ricky O’Donnell has the Warriors selecting Duke forward Jalen Johnson with the No. 7 pick.
