Raptors vs. Pistons postponed, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday

With results still pending on some COVID tests, the Raptors vs. Pistons game that was supposed to go down tomorrow has been postponed by a day.

A brief announcement here regarding the fate of tomorrow’s Raptors vs. Pistons game. As per Raptors PR, it looks the game will be postponed — but only until the day after tomorrow: Wednesday, March 3.

The official statement:

The NBA announced Monday that tomorrow’s game between the Toronto Raptors and Detroit Pistons at Amalie Arena in Tampa has been postponed and tentatively rescheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. pending additional test results.

Now it should be send that “pending additional test results” is doing a lot of work here. But it also suggests that the respective comfort levels of the league and the two teams involved are rising. For now, we’ll proceed assuming the game will be on Wednesday.

But remember: Pascal Siakam will not participate — and that’s to say nothing of the Raptors’ coaching staff, including Nick Nurse.
