Hall joins Toronto (in Tampa) via the G-League Ignite team
The Toronto Raptors are filling their current open roster spot with forward Donta Hall from the G League Ignite team, according to reports.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Hall will sign a 10-day contract with Toronto.

Hall, a 6’9” forward, has played nine games with the Ignite team, averaging nine points and nine rebounds in 24 minutes per game. In 38 games last season with the Grand Rapids Drive, he averaged 15 and 11 in 29 minutes per game, and was named to the league’s All-Defensive Team.
In nine NBA games between Brooklyn and Detroit last season, he averaged four points and four boards in 15 mpg.
Hall is long and athletic, and that defensive rep should serve him well with the Raptors. But doesn’t seem to be much of a shooter; he’s only shot 28 threes in his G League career, hitting seven.
Still, despite not being a pick-and-pop threat, Hall has a good reputation as a screen setter and rim runner.
Donta Hall is 6-9 and athletic. He's played a total of nine NBA games in his career. Obviously doesn't solve the Raptors' centre issue but we'll see what he can do.

Here's a highlight reel of him in the G League last season:https://t.co/quhs1SIhjT
With their starting small ball starting lineup and the thus-far successful bench pairing of Aron Baynes and Chris Boucher, the Raptors’ need for a centre doesn’t seem as dire as it did a couple of weeks ago, and Hall’s minutes will likely be few. Still, it doesn’t hurt to have another active body on the roster, or to try out more young players when you can.
