The team might be getting even smaller.

The Golden State Warriors are wrapping up their Texas tour tonight with their second game in as many nights against the San Antonio Spurs. But they may be without their second-best player, as Draymond Green is listed as questionable due to soreness in his right knee.

Losing Green would be a hit in numerous ways to the Dubs. Not only would they be losing their best passer and defender, but they would be giving up size when they have precious little.

The Dubs are already without their four centers, as James Wiseman (sprained wrist), Kevon Looney (sprained ankle), Marquese Chriss (broken leg), and Alen Smailagić (torn meniscus) are all sidelined with injuries. Losing Green would mean Eric Paschall would likely start in the frontcourt next to Juan Toscano-Anderson, with Kent Bazemore representing their lone “big” off the bench.

But while the size would be a hit, the loss in skill would be much bigger. Green has been a tremendous catalyst since Looney’s injury, as he’s dished out 40 assists in three games while starting at center. And he’s quarterbacked a defense that looks good when he’s out there and useless when he’s not.
