[Men's Basketball] Big Gap Between Games Leaves Promising Hawks Rusty Against Mustangs
SANTA CLARITA, CA – The Hawks traveled north to the Master's University Saturday to take on the No. 19 ranked GSAC rival Mustangs in a non-conference match-up. The game was added to the schedule late to fill in the gap that the postponed SDSU game left. Not having played in almost a month due to COVID-19 cancellations, the Hawks took the court feeling a little rusty. After jumping out to an early 4-point lead on buckets from Greg Chew Jr. and Jermaine Camacho-Small, who was making his SDCC debut, the Hawks faded and played the remainder of the game chasing the Mustangs. Although they made several runs in the second half to stay within single digits, San Diego Christian College ultimately fell by a final score of 68-77.
