For fun, I checked out Bart Torvik's page today. Was a little surprised that he had UD slotted 90th to start the year. (for those unfamiliar, its similar to ken pom in that it uses past season, recruiting rankings, coaching history, etc... to project early season rankings, then adjusts them thru the season to reflect actual results). He is a smarter dude than I, and as described above, its not some anti-UD bias, just math and projections that could be well off. His numbers will eventually reflect the strength (or lack there of) of UD's results. He had UD well ranked last year from Mauii thru seasons end.
