Nearly 30 years ago, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign & domestic. At the time, our biggest threat, the Soviet Union, was receding, but the specter of a protracted conflict in the Middle East loomed large. Politics were occasionally nasty, but bipartisanship did still exist and generally, politicians and our government served the American people regardless of political affiliation. I mention all of that to say the idea of a domestic enemy really never crossed my mind.
I was alarmed at the reports the IRS had targeted Conservative groups in the run up to the 2012 election. I watched in amazement as Hillary Clinton was effectively given a pass on both a pay-to-play scheme and the calculated effort to cover up destruction of evidence of that crime. I sat in astonishment as the Russia-gate story unraveled, and how it has suddenly been resurrected in recent days.
I ask everyone, regardless of their political affiliation, whether they are comfortable with what agents within our government have done and are doing to actively undermine an incoming/extant administration. If your answer is "yes" because you don't like Trump and his policies, what if the same was done to your preferred candidate and policies? Are you comfortable with the way personal destruction has been used and could be used in the future to neuter opposition? Are you comfortable with the state-media-tech cabal that has put their power on full display in recent days to suppress the Hunter Biden story? What if that power was used against something that is important to you? I ask you, regardless of you political leanings, to watch this well produced documentary and, if its message concerns you as much as it did me, share it with friends and family and ask them the same question.
I pray for truth, I pray for justice, but most of all, I pray our Constitution will survive. I now believe the most threatening enemies to our Constitution are not without, but within our nation.
