NBA fans love Andre Iguodala’s Heat

People are hoping that Miami makes the NBA Finals in the bubble.

We’re deep into the 2019-20 NBA season. We started with 30 teams, then trimmed down to 22 when the coronavirus postponed the season. That knocked out the Golden State Warriors, among other teams.

And now, after a regular season conclusion and two rounds of playoff inside the Disney Resort bubble, the NBA has whittled the participants down to four: The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers in the West, and the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat in the East.

The Heat have Warriors franchise icon Andre Iguodala, but it’s more than just Golden State fans who like Miami. According to the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, NBA fans overwhelmingly are pulling for the Heat to make the NBA Finals.

But when it comes to their opponent, fans are split. That makes sense given that the Lakers are simultaneously the most loved and hated team in the NBA.

When it comes to individual greatness, those polled fans are still high on the Heat, as Iguodala’s teammate Jimmy Butler was voted as the most impressive player inside the bubble (LeBron James was second), while Erik Spoelstra was chosen as the most impressive coach by a wide margin.

It’s hard to argue with any of those, and I, too, find myself hoping the Heat will make the NBA Finals. Though I’ll admit that only half of that is because I enjoy watching the Heat (and I really enjoy watching the Heat), while the other half is due to a general disdain for the Celtics.

Who do you want to see in the NBA Finals?
