Sean Durugordon, the 6-foot-7, 216-pound small forward from Putnam Science (CT) Academy, has cut his list to eight schools.

He is down to Georgia, Missouri, Auburn, DePaul, Arizona State, Seton Hall, VCU and Hofstra, and broke down his options for ZAGSBLOG.

Durugordon said he plans to commit before the end of August.

Georgia: They’ve been making me a priority ever since they began recruiting me, They’ve been transparent with me and I believe Coach [Tom] Crean and his staff can take my game to the next level. And my sister and family live out there.”

Mizzou: “I’ve built a great relationship with Coach [Cuonzo] Martin and the rest of the staff. We speak often and talk about stuff that’s not even related to basketball which shows they care for me as a person and will always look out for me.”

Auburn: “Another great SEC program, I believe I fit their system and my game will be exposed well over there.”

DePaul: “They were my first high-major offer, They believed in me before everyone else did. The Big East is great conference and I feel like they are building something special over there.”

Arizona State: “They play a style of play that I can see myself flourishing in, and they let their guards go. I’ve built a good relationship with the staff there as well.”

Seton Hall: “They are close to home, one of the few schools close to me that recruited me. They fit my game a lot as well.”

Hofstra: “They are my hometown school, the only school in my area to offer me and recruit me hard. It would be real nice to stay home and make a name for myself.”

VCU: “They’ve been recruiting me very hard, and it’s a place that I can see myself at. I’ve got to know all of the staff there, too.”
