[WHAC] UM-Dearborn Undeclares for Fall 2020 Term
DEARBORN, Mich. - (UM-Dearborn Release) - The University of Michigan-Dearborn announced it has canceled its fall sports program for the 2020-21 academic year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and university commitment to protect the health and safety of the campus community.
UM-Dearborn's fall sports, including men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball, will not compete during the 2020-21 academic year. UM-Dearborn has also suspended operations for all winter and spring teams for the Fall 2020 term. Teams in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) will not receive a forfeit for the scheduled fall contests and are free to fill that date with any other non-conference contest.
UM-Dearborn will be transitioning to a hybrid semester consisting of remote learning and a small number of classes held on campus throughout the Fall 2020 term. The university will also shift its academic calendar to protect the health and safety of the campus community.
