Jaylen Clark to UCLA

By JACOB POLACHECK

Jaylen Clark, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Etiwanda (CA), announced his commitment to UCLA on Thursday, via Twitter. He took his official visit to UCLA on Sunday and Monday.

“I’m going to UCLA and Mick Cronin really sold me,” Clark told 247Sports Wednesday. “He’s really energetic and I’m seeing him turn the team around already. The win against Colorado and then he follows it up with a 20-point win against Utah.”

Clark chose UCLA over schools such as USC, Arizona, Oregon, Texas and Virginia Tech, among others. He joins Daishen Nix as the second commit in the Bruins’ 2020 class.

“I’ve always liked UCLA,” Clark added. “I always hoped that I ended up at UCLA or USC. I always wanted to stay home. I feel like California is a hard state to beat out living wise and how diverse everything has gotten here.”

According to 247Sports, Clark is ranked as the No. 104 overall player in the Class of 2020 and the No. 21 ranked shooting guard.
