Siena is making special accommodations for fans with autism and other special needs who may have a sensitivity to noise and light. Besides the muted lighting, public address system's volume will be lowered and flashing advertisements will be eliminated on the video scoreboard, the ribbon boards and the LED displays on the media and scorer's tables.
"We're so excited to be part of that,'' Saints head coach Carmen Maciariello said. "I think it's just a special day and our guys will sign autographs afterwards and get to meet some special kids. Hopefully the lights are what it's supposed to be like on Sunday because I told my assistants to send an email to the arena to make sure we were practicing with those lights (Friday) and (Saturday)."
