[Women's Basketball] Women's Basketball Defeated by NAIA No. 14

Doane Women's Basketball closed out the 2019 slate on Saturday with a trip to Mitchell, S.D., to take on No. 14 Dakota Wesleyan. The host Tigers were able to pull away for a 98-41 win.

Doane was led in scoring by Haylee Heits (JR/Rulo, Neb.) with 15 points. Sydney Roth (FR/Deshler, Neb.) and Azaiya Trainor (FR/Lincoln, Neb.) came off the bench to add eight points apiece. Ashley Teten (FR/Auburn, Neb.) pulled in a team-high seven rebounds as Cheyenne Ostrander (SR/Fullerton, Neb.) and Heits added six rebounds apiece.

Next up for Doane will be a trip to Sioux Center, Iowa, to take on Dordt. Tip-off on January 2 is set for 6 PM.
