[Men's Cross Country] Cornerstone Runs To MXC Championship
ALLENDALE, Mich. - (Final Results) - Cornerstone returned to the podium of men's cross country in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) for the first time in 10 years when the Golden Eagles won the 2019 WHAC Championship. Newcomer of the Year Luke Pohl led Cornerstone with his fifth-place finish. CU head coach Nate Van Holten earned Coach of the Year honors with the win.
Madonna's Tony Floyd also returned to the podium as he won the individual championship after winning the race in 2016. His time of 24:50 is the fourth-fastest winning time in meet history.
The event, originally schedule for the Riverside Park course, had to be moved 48 hours before the starting gun due to the course condition. A special thanks to Allendale High School and staff for moving snow and hosting on such late notice.
