Pre-Season Poll #2 - I'm Not Quite Dead aka Comeback Player of the Year

0 2

With all due respect to Monty Python, the Lakers have a few players who are either getting old or trying to return from injury. Which one, if any, will have the biggest impact?

1) Rajon Rondo - everybody's favorite whipping boy looked REAL old last year as an emergency starter. He may be pressed into starting duty by default this season, but can he find his real grove coming off the bench?

2) Boogie Cousins - like Rondo, Boogie could find himself starting by default (no offense to McGee). He put up decent numbers last year but was a major liability on defense and his offensive game seems more suited to an isolation offense. Still, the Lakers don't need him to be his old self, they just need him to be effective. Is he up to the challenge?

3) Avery Bradley - another player trying to come back from injury, Bradley says he's healthy and ready to go....but that's what you would expect him to say. Unlike, Cousins, however, the Lakers need Bradley to return to his old form - they need another perimeter defender and, even when injured, Bradley was still better from distance than most of the Lakers' roster last year.

4) Jared Dudley - widely expected to be this team's ML Carr, Dudley has been on a slow decline for the last several years. Still, given the Lakers' lack of depth at the 3 and 4, he will have an opportunity to prove that there's still some gas left in that tank.

5) Other - got a name? Let's hear it!
