Gunfire at Toronto Raptors victory parade sends crowds running in panic as two people shot and seriously wounded
TWO people were shot and seriously wounded when gunfire erupted at the Toronto Raptors parade today.
Thousands of basketball fans were seen running from the event celebrating the Canadian team’s historic NBA championship title win.
Among those at the festivities were Canadian rapper Drake and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Toronto police said officers were called to the scene just before 4pm local time.
Police also said that two firearms were recovered and two people were in custody.
The celebrations were halted while several people, including Raptors coach Nick Nurse and broadcaster Matt Devlin spoke to the crowd.
Toronto Police spokesperson David Hopkinson told CNN it’s not clear if the shooting was actually at the parade or close to it.
On Thursday, the Raptors became the first team outside the United US to win an NBA championship.
