Steph Curry and Kevin Durant make Forbes’ list of ten highest-paid athletes

It was a good fiscal year for the Warriors MVPs.

Steph Curry and Kevin Durant are two of the best basketball players in the world, and they’re certainly compensated like it. Forbes just dropped their list of the 100 highest-paid athletes in the world, and the pair of Golden State Warriors superstars both cracked the top ten.

Curry came in ninth overall, with $37.8 million in earnings over the last year, and $42 million in endorsements, for a total of $79.8 million. Durant rounded out the top ten with $30.4 million in earnings and $35 million in endorsements, good for $65.4 million.

Those are highly impressive numbers, but certainly deserved for two of the top athletes and the world. Curry and Durant were surpassed by only one basketball player: LeBron James, who took home $89 million over the last year. Here’s the full top ten:

1. Lionel Messi (Soccer): $127 million total
2. Cristiano Ronaldo (Soccer): $109 million
3. Neymar (Soccer): $105 million
4. Canelo Alvarez (Boxing): $94 million
5. Roger Federer (Tennis): $93.4 million
6. Russell Wilson (Football): $89.5 million
7. Aaron Rodgers (Football): $89.3 million
8. LeBron James (Basketball): $89 million
9. Stephen Curry (Basketball): $79.8 million
10. Kevin Durant (Basketball): $65.4 million

Klay Thompson also made the list. His $34.3 million ($19.3 million in salary, $15 million in endorsements) was 40th in the world.

In all, there were a whopping 35 NBA players that made the list, including three players who the Warriors are currently facing in the NBA Finals, and one former Warrior. Here’s all of them:
